Term 4 summary
Term 4 has been great so far, the learning has been fun especially culture city, that was fun learning about the way that other cultures work and live. My favourite culture I did was Mexico that was the funniest. I did my DLO on Mexico, here is the link.
Kapa haka was my third favourite thing that happened this term culture city was my second favourite thing this term. This is the
link to my blog post of kapa haka, it has all the information about the kapa haka festival.

We are up to my favourite thing this term athletics, first we had sprints it went year 0 to year 6 I will skip all the other years except for year 6. It was finally time for the year six to race I had Bjorn, Jack, Chase Tadhg I come first and jack came second and chase came third, but only 1st and 2nd make it into finals. It was time for my 200m race I had Santy in my race, I came first and Santy came second. Finals were after morning tea. It was morning tea time I had a lot of food and water not enough to give me a stitch though. It was time for sprint finals I come 4th which I think I could of done better, now it was time for 200m finals I come 4th in that to I reckon I could have done a lot better.
I have enjoyed my time Wainui Beach School, its time to move on though I cant wait for intermediate my mum says that intermediate was the best years of her life.

The marae stay.
On thursday and friday we went to a marae and we stayed the night and on thursday we went straight to the marae instead of going to school we went to the marae when i got there i pot my ger in the class line and then we had a bit of free time and i walked around talking to my friends and then we got called in. The teachers did a roll and then we stood up and practised our songs why we waited for the people in the marae to get ready for our welcoming to the marae. Then we got welcomed into the marae. We learnt all about the names of the patterns that are in the marae and why they chose those pacific patterns. The patterns told different stories. we also sang one of our school waiata.

Cross country.
Cross country 2019.
This year we did cross country and it was not all that hard, I got 3 place Toby got 2 place Ziggy got 1 place. We had to run 2 laps and I felt like I could have done 3 laps. I have always got 3 place in cross country, even at my old school. I would sprint at the start and then keep my pace until the end and then sprint again.
I was so hyped for cross country this year because i did not know what the challenge would be like. At my old school I made it into interschool cross country and also hawkes bay regionals. In interschool I got 22, and in hawkes bay regionals i got 34, which meant i was the 34 fastest kid in hawkes bay in my year group. I like sprints but I think I like long distance running more than any other sport. This year at interschool I think I will make it in the top 30 it was intense in Napier.
We had to wait at an area that was coned off and we had to line up in our year groups but in our house colours. Every house has a chant and they are all cool my house chant is... Roll out the carpets roll out the mates come on yellows knock them flat, here us shout here us roar, we're the house you can't ignore!

All about my BF
This is my basic facts challenge and i got a bit frustrated on the second column because it got really hard and it made me think super hard until my step dad helped me and explained it to me. And then when he did i said how did i not know that at fist then i went honing with the rest until i got to the third one my step dad is still going over it with me. And that is why it is highlighted but the highlighted one in the first column is because that was part of the example. Also after i complete the BF i feel proud of my self and also smart. The ones that i have highlighted are the ones that i don't know of by heart.

Term 2 is the best.
Retro tech was so awesome, we got to go to the old tech museum with the rest of the of moana learning hub it was so cool seeing all the olden day stuff and then looking at all the cool modern tech we have now. It all started when koka Terri got the retro tech stuff there were 10 items and 10 groups. Then we got in the parents car that we were chosen to go with and i went with my friends mum, but my friend was realy sick so he could not come. When we got there i said it looked like the walking dead because it looked all worn down so we called it the walking dead. We also did a advertisement. We had a olden day washing machine called the washer mosher. We also went to the life ed track and we learnt all about what a friend should be to you.

EL4 Maths strand!
EL4 maths strand.
Over the past few weeks we have been seeing how fast we can run and how fast cars and other stuff can go. I was a bit confused at the start and then is started to get it later on that's also when it started getting fun like really fun like that why Wainui Beach School are the best school in the world like we do fun learning as well.
For the moment you have all been waiting for I am happy to present the best part of math. We started doing our speed. I ran 1k in 2.21m and I got second Toby did it in 2.19m and I also ran 100m in 12 seconds. and then we had to double what we ran for example I ran 1k in 2.00m I double that and I can run 2k in 4.00m 3k in 8.00m. Everyone has to include this part I got first in both of races I even bet Toby the kid how beat me in 1k.

Hamanatua
Today we went to Hamanatua and we did the garding for plants and bushes and mulching, but not eny bush or plant they are native to new zealand.
So what we had to do is, we chopped it up so that it would take a while to grow back, then we had to do this is pull the weeds and then we kicked the weeds to the side. And then it would be flat and you would push the bark back so that it would hold down some of the weed`s. And then you would go get the teacher and show her and then she would say, mulch it into a donut around the plant that you weeded on.

The trip to the E-village
On wednesday we went to the E-village we had so much fun even though we had to walk a bit it was so fun. I will know tell you what we did and what we learned about. So at the start we had to walk to the E-village when we got there poppys dad was there cleaning the windows for the E-village and we
all said hi and so did he ( we were split into groups ) then we carid on and walked inside, the lady was there waiting for us i could tell this was going to be a fun school trip the time i saw every thing in side (and the lady`s name was japala).
We started talking about what the rules are on a E-bike, and then we went to the E-scooters and talked about the rules on them. And then we started talking about how electricity works and what palouts our world. And for the part you have all been waiting for my favorite part, the E-scooter, (oh yes you are thinking why would talking about a E-scooter be fun) but you thought wrong we actually got to ride on the E-scooter (told you you would be jelis) . There were remote control cars and bet the buzzer and toy cars, boats, and tracks. Then we we had to leave but this part is really cool you would not expect a school to have lollipops oh wait that's because we have the best school.
