Term 4 summary

Term 4 has been great so far, the learning has been fun especially culture city, that was fun learning about the way that other cultures work and live. My favourite culture I did was Mexico that was the funniest. I did my DLO on Mexico, here is the link.

Kapa haka was my third favourite thing that happened this term culture city was my second favourite thing this term. This is the link to my blog post of kapa haka, it has all the information about the kapa haka festival.

We are up to my favourite thing this term athletics, first we had sprints it went year 0 to year 6 I will skip all the other years except for year 6. It was finally time for the year six to race I had Bjorn, Jack, Chase Tadhg I come first and jack came second and chase came third, but only 1st and 2nd make it into finals. It was time for my 200m race I had Santy in my race, I came first and Santy came second. Finals were after morning tea. It was morning tea time I had a lot of food and water not enough to give me a stitch though. It was time for sprint finals I come 4th which I think I could of done better, now it was time for 200m finals I come 4th in that to I reckon I could have done a lot better.

I have enjoyed my time Wainui Beach School, its time to move on though I cant wait for intermediate my mum says that intermediate was the best years of her life.

The marae stay.

On thursday and friday we went to a marae and we stayed the night and on thursday we went straight to the marae instead of going to school we went to the marae when i got there i pot my ger in the class line and then we had a bit of free time and i walked around talking to my friends and then we got called in. The teachers did a roll and then we stood up and practised our songs why we waited for the people in the marae to get ready for our welcoming to the marae. Then we got welcomed into the marae. We learnt all about the names of the patterns that are in the marae and why they chose those pacific patterns. The patterns told different stories. we also sang one of our school waiata.
